These will be talked about on your basic beverage machines and glass front snack machines. Some of these might be obvious, but necessary. Always make sure your machines are plugged in and your machines have power. If not, check the outlet and circuit breaker for it have power. Also, check connections going to all these components, they have a tendency to get loose over time. You can watch how the coins go through the coin mech and clean that path. Even using a watered damp paper towel to clean, it is amazing how long a good clean mech will work. Make a cleaning schedule and do it on a regular basis. You can take the top part out of the coin mech and clean it as well. In setting up a machine, make sure you put plenty of coins in the coin mechanism so the machine will take dollar bills. Most locations use more dollar bills vs.Always retest the machines before leaving it. Again, like the coin mech, watch where the bill goes in and out, this is the bill path. You can use air on this and spray it clean. There are optics that are lit on the acceptor, you must keep those free of lint and dirt and keep it cleaned. Any of this that covers one of the optics will cause the validator to run continuously because it thinks the machine is trying to accept a bill and will shut off after a set amount of time. Then, it will not take any bills until it is cleaned and cleared.

Just make sure when you call them you have your make and model of the machine you are working on and make sure you LISTEN when they try to tell you how to trouble shoot your issue. Thank you. Louis, MO 63116 GET DIRECTIONS Hours of Operation: Mon. to Fri. 8am to 5pm Central Time AVM goes beyond selling our inventory. We strive to make your business profitable! Designed by Marketing Ape LLC. One of the more lucrative items was a soda machine that did not work and was left to us to remove. This huge thing weighed a lot and would be a nightmare to toss out. I figured this was a nice project to undertake and try and flip. I set out to see what exactly was wrong with it and if I could get it back to fully working order. This soda machine is a Vendo v475 Single Price Vending Machine. After a few hours of trying to pick the lock, I resorted to the drill. I grabbed my punch to try and center the initial small drill bit. The power drill did not have enough torque or ability to work through the lock I have drilled into concrete before using a Hammer Drill and as it has the ability to cut through a quartz doped material, I figured hardened steel would be no problem. The hammer action of the drill helps cut through hard objects and remove the excess material. Once the lock was drilled enough to compromise it, the whole handle popped out from the locked position. I used a small Flathead screwdriver to press in the retainer and dislodge the drilled out lock. I made sure the plug was rated for the maximum 15 amps at 125v a household circuit would put out in the US. As per the instructions of the plug, the white wire went to the silver screw, the black wire went to the brass screw and the green wire went to the green screw. I opened it up to see what was inside. Posted on the inside of the door were warnings, instructions on how to maintain the machine and contact information encase of emergency.

You can carefully take most validators apart to unjam dollar bills. Make sure to take the bills out of the stacker because if it gets filled, it will stop working until you clear it. Make sure to always retest the machine before leaving it. A regularly cleaned dollar bill validator will work for a long time. Priming is defined as testing that selection out until a beverage is ready to be vended. You can do this manually by taking the vending motor cover off and pressing each motor switch, this will ignite the vend process. Do this until a beverage vends and then that selection is ready to vend and do this for all the selections. Make sure to keep your other hand at the end of the delivery ramp so you catch the beverage and keep it from in going to the floor. Also, always make sure your machine is level. You can adjust the legs with a regular wrench. You might bring a level to make sure because sometimes it is actually the floor that is unlevel. This will help your door from not sagging and make it easier to close. It will also make sure the lock and locking bolt line up. Another tip is to keep the refrigeration system clean. You can use air or even a brush to keep the lint out of the refrigeration unit area. You should have a manual that generally has a few simple steps in setting the prices. If time allows, you might test vend each selection as well. If a whole shelf is not working, swap shelves to see if the issue is in the actual shelf or in the control board. If your replacement shelf does work as well, you know the issue probably is in your control board. Like the beverage machine, always make sure your machine is level. You can adjust the legs. This will help your door from not sagging and make it easier to close and make sure the lock lines up with the locking bolt. If you have vending machines, use them. Also, if you have a good machine company you deal with, and they have a service department, you can call them for technical help on machines.

To the right of those switches was the red LED that would not come on. On the other end, continuity needed to exist for the circuit to be complete through the harness.I figured if the wiring harness needed to be replaced, why not cut into it and see if the problem was between the two plugs or at one of the plugs themselves. I cut away a section of sheathing and exposed a small portion of copper on the green wire just behind the Jones Plug.I bypassed the plug with a small jumper wire and severed the green wire were I had exposed the copper. Hopefully this fixed the power issue. No point in touching the bill exchanger, as it was linked to the coin machine. One thing I did notice was every time I plugged in the vending machine, one of the column motors continuously ran non stop. They were all daisy chained together so this would tell me if all were receiving power and ground. This was done by sticking one probe of the ohm meter on one end and the other at the opposite end. For redundancy I check each motor individually with all motors checking out fine with continuity between positive and negative posts. The motor still ran continuously. I unplugged the harness to the two motors and unscrewed the three screws holding each motor in place. This meant the motor had an internal short and needed to be replaced. That would put me at about 30% of the total profit and I have yet to test the bill reader. Should I sell the machine as is or continue on with it and purchase the parts. I would really appreciate your input. Thanks for taking the time to follow along with my progress on this project. I hope you learned something new and dont be afraid to comment any thoughts you may have below. I agree on foot traffic, I just need to come up with the liquidity to throw at it. Also, this is the first time I've ever heard of a vending machine conveying with a property. Even if no one uses it for that, it'll get you in the news.:). You will be sent by mail 28 page manual.

At the foot of every column was a motor to drive the dispenser that would feed out a single can or bottle. The rear sections of the columns could be moved forward or rearward depending on the owners desires. I figured I would start with the door and test everything on it to make sure the machine was in working order. It was obvious when I opened it up one of the bulbs was just sitting in the case and not actually plugged in. I figured it was a blown bulb but didnt see any signs of it so in it went and both lights lit up like the forth of July. All empty lights worked and the only two that were off in the picture were the columns I had filled with bottles. The Machine looked really nice in the dark. The coin machine was a Coinco 3340-S Single Price Changer. The coins are detected once dropped in by sensors on either side of the chute. Those coins are either sorted into their respective tubes or outright rejected back into the coin return. Cleaning the chute of gunk helps maintain the machine. I pulled back the coin chute to reveal a little red LED next to a series of rocker switches. The LED was not lit indicating the board was not powered up and the machine would not function correctly. I referenced the service manual and ended up needing to disassemble it to check if the harness was transferring power to the main board. The chute section came off simply by unplugging the ribbon cable and sliding it off. These same screws also secured the coin machine to the door of the vendor. It was astonishing how incredibly simple this machine was built. To the right of those relays was a large capacitor that helps maintain the supplied power at a constant voltage. Above that, a very shiny toroidal transformer. In the center of the board was the brains of it all, a large CMOS or Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor chip. Each switch was associated with a certain denomination and when activated added that denomination to any other rocker switches that were turned on.

I've downloaded a manual, but it's old and cryptic, and the wisdom of experienced folks at this forum would make life way easier! Does someone know if there were newer, improved motor models for this machine since it was manufactured 25 years ago. If so, what part numbers might I look for (for assemblies)? Currently it has a very old Coinco that appears to malfunction. The mechs recommended in the manual are understandably as old as the manual itself, but I'm aware that the coin mech companies are still in business. Does anyone know if there were newer models that work in the V475? I haven't measured, but it looks as though it needs to have a half-dozen rows of product stacked up in there to reach the trigger, meaning that out-of-stock status will actually kick in when there's plenty of stock. Am I right about this? Seems to me that after decades of service they must be pretty dry. If you have no problems with cans vending properly, consider yourself lucky. All of the linkage gets out of whack and worn to the point of not vending one side or the other of a wide column. When this happens, you usually have no luck adjusting things to fix it; the problem just moves to the other side of the mechanism. If you can vend without problems, then lubrication is a good idea for any pivot points in the lowering shelf linkage, front and back. Just a drop of oil in each spot is good enough. I have some that I have stripped off old machines for sale if you need a good used motor. Good luck if you continue with this and let me know if you have more questions or need any parts. From my test runs, the shelves and buckets in all compartments appear to work correctly. I note that the counter says it has dispensed just a little more than 7,000 times. (I'm not in the business. Wouldn't that be a fairly low number?) When I got it, the compartments had a few ruptured cans in the bottom, and apparently when they broke, they sprayed all over the metal shelves. This led to rust.

It might be more superficial damage than anything. Since the carrier and bypass switches look fairly shabby, I'm looking to replace them if I can find some in better shape. I felt the same about the motors. One of the motors just does a part cycle and then quits, so I'm guessing that's either the motor itself or it's a switch problem. My cams are green (on five motors) and white (on three motors). I see that there are always Vendo motors on eBay and elsewhere, but many of them have black cams. Here are some of the more popular types, and the type of machines that they are generally used in over the last twenty years. With minor maintenance these coin mechanisms will keep functioning in most cases for many years without repairs, and unlike bill validators, do not have rubber parts that wear and cause regular replacement. There are two different series of mechs that Coinco produced during that time period. The 3000 series and 9000 series. In the 3000 series, the two most popular models made were the 3340S and the 3341S. The main difference between the two models is in the number of dollar interface plugs that each unit has. The 3340S has one basic six pin dollar interface plug. The 3341S has two dollar interface plugs. The six pin mentioned above, and also a twelve pin which with a harness can be hooked directly into a Mars type bill validator such as a VFM3, or VN2511 for direct power and what Coinco refers to as a non standard bill interface. The 9000 series on the other hand can be tuned. This is an advantage when newer coin styles are introduced or if tuning for Canadian coins or tokens. These models could include 9340S, 9360S, 9370S. Many times the 9370S will also have a DEX plug included. This unit has dual interfaces on all coin mechanisms, and can also be tuned.

Its tuning features have made this a popular model for use in Canada, and for custom tuning for pesos for use in Mexico as well. The basic difference in these two models is, that one has a twelve pin plug and one has a fifteen pin plug. This is very important to note. Originally when logic style machines were made, they used 110 volt coin mechanisms. Over time, to take this high voltage away from the operator, they made 24 volt twelve pin coin mechanisms. The only problem with this was, that you could accidentally plug a 24 volt unit into a 110 volt twelve pin plug. Due to this fact, the twelve pin 24 volt coin mechanisms were not made for very long and that is why they went to a fifteen pin 24 volt unit, to make a clear difference for the operator between the 110 volt and 24 volt coin mechanisms. Use caution whenever plugging in a 24 volt twelve pin unit to make sure that your machine is wired for 24 volts and not for 110 volts. A Coinco 9340L is also used in some machines that were not originally equipped with dollar bill validators, so they need this unit to add that ability. Later coin mechanisms include Coinco Coin Pro 3 and Mars Electronics TRC6512.A soft cloth and a mild solution is usually recommended by the manufacturers of the coin mechanisms. For complete cleaning instructions please refer to the original manuals provided by the manufacturers. Please refer to the cleaning instructions of each unit before starting to clean. Only the coin mechanisms mentioned above can be easily repaired or exchanged at most repair facilities. If you are currently using any of the older coin mechanisms not mentioned in this article and have them fail, you might decide it is worth it to move up to a newer style of vending machine. Help would be most welcome PS I posted this in Manuals and schematics but Forum advice was to post it here so now it's in twice Meanwhile here we go. Cheers. RudyI tested the zener with two 9 volt batteries in series and a 1K resistor and it proved OK, found that the thermal fuse hidden under the transformer that supplies 18 volts to the circuit board (from 110 volt supply) had blown, put in a new one (119 deg C) and that fixed the whole machine (it's there to blow if there is a serious jam up and the transformer gets hot and it works!). Thanks again for your attentionYou'll need to choose a username for the site, which only take a couple of moments ( here ). After that, you can post your question and our members will help you out.

When you get to step 4. of the parameter setup section, you will tell the coin acceptor how many pulses to send for each type of coin your program. You could, for example, send one pulse for a quarter, two for a 50 cent piece, and four for a dollar coin. Each pulse will be a game credit. In the example below, I chose a quarter as the smallest coin, which will pulse once for one credit. This will be used for the common ground with the Picade board. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness. Here's the process for changing that: You need a handful of each type of coin you want to teach it to recognize, preferably all of different years. The more samples you can show it, the less likely it is to reject valid coins. The coin recognition algorithm is partly based on the weight of the coin, which (relative to the internal architecture of the machine) will differ based on the angle of the acceptor. If the device is not perfectly upright, or at the angle it will have during use, the rejection rate of valid coins will skyrocket. At that point, you can follow the instructions below. Repeat steps 3-5 for each coin denomination you wish to teach the machine to accept. If you want to experiment with other functions of the coin acceptor, please check out its datasheet. Some of the fundamentals when using our machines are: It also helps to keep heavy clothes like sweats and jeans separate from light-weight synthetics. Very delicate things, like stockings and underwear, should be washed separately. You’ll notice there’s a special setting on your washer for delicates; use it to avoid damaging your fine washables. Your clothes should be completely covered with water and no higher than the top row of holes in the washbowl without pushing down on the load. There is no benefit to overloading a washer. Too big a load means your clothes don’t get clean and you risk the possibility of damaging your garments and the machine, creating an inconvenience for your fellow residents. Heavy things like towels and sweats can cause a machine to go off balance. In such a case, just lift the lid, redistribute your clothes, close lid and then continue washing. The same goes for dryers. One wash load equals one dryer load. Because your management has chosen Maytag washers and dryers for your laundry room, you have Six options each for wash cycle and water temperature. The touch pad or cycle selector Knob on your Maytag washer displays the cycle clearly. Heavy towels and sweats should be washed on the “Colors” setting, with warm water. And don’t forget to distribute the load evenly! Add only pre diluted on the rinse cycle (The L.E.D. or Light display on your washer will tell you when). Never use Fabric Softner Neat or Pour directly over clothes or if your water supply is not clean or clear. Also, remember to close the lid, your washer won’t start unless you do this. UNBALANCE LIGHT Indicates washer has shut off. Before diving into how each type of laundry machine works here’s a helpful checklist to consider before using any type of common commercial laundry machine. Follow the instructions for each machine type and you’ll have clean clothes in no time. Place detergent, fabric softener or bleach in the correct tray.

Starting a coin-operated laundry might be your ticket to entrepreneurial success. It was excerpted from our Coin-Operated Laundry start-up guide, available from Entrepreneur Bookstore. The coin-operated laundry industry has undergone a revolution. Some of them don't even use coins. Instead, customers use swipe cards that subtract the cost of the wash or dry, much like a phone card or debit card. Many laundry owners also employ attendants to keep an eye on the store and help customers use the equipment. Laundromat Renaissance The coin-operated laundry industry has changed in response to several trends. The first is that, for most of us, meeting the demands of work and our personal lives leads to a time crunch -- there just aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything we would like to. Laundry owners are capitalizing on this reality by offering their customers time-saving convenience in the form of wash-and-fold (drop-off service) and dry-cleaning service. Some are even picking up laundry from customers' homes and delivering it back to them clean and folded. In addition, owners have realized that they can maximize their profits by providing customers with access to multiple services. Since they're paying a set amount of rent on their commercial space, they might as well use that space to its fullest potential. Many owners around the country are serving food, renting mailboxes and offering free internet access. Because newer laundries are bigger than in the past -- often 3,000 or 4,000 square feet -- overhead is higher, and owners are looking for ways to cover the cost. These additional services demand little increase in overhead because the rent is already paid for. Customers benefit by being able to use several services all in one convenient location. Everybody wants to squeeze as much money as possible out of their space.

Other social phenomena, like the prevalence of two-income families, suggest that convenient services such as wash-and-fold will continue to grow in popularity as working parents have less time to attend to household chores like laundry. In other words, although the majority of laundromat customers are low- to middle-income renters, some laundries are tapping into higher-income markets by offering convenience: wash-and-fold service and large machines. In addition, office dress codes are growing increasingly less formal. And as more people wear casual clothing (which doesn't require dry cleaning) to work and leave the nicer duds for special occasions, you may find that consumers will be making more trips to the laundromat. The Bad News While the trends we've mentioned are favorable for entrepreneurs entering the laundry business, they don't suggest that business is booming. In some areas of the country, there are too many laundromats already. However, there is room for new laundry owners. Many get into the business by purchasing an existing laundry and renovating it. Some also find that they can build a new laundry in an area with competing laundries and thrive by offering a bigger store, more services and better customer relations. Another way to get into the business is to locate your store where there is the best potential need for a new laundry: in an area that's experiencing population growth. Don't buy a store just because it's for sale or build a store just because you have a great idea for a new gimmick. You'll need to be very careful to make sure there's enough of a customer base to make your business thrive. You may be able to draw a little extra business from people who like using your store better because of its cleanliness or from people who use your wash-and-fold service, but the core of your business will be people who just want to get their laundry done quickly and conveniently.

If there are already enough laundromats in the neighborhood to serve their needs, they're not as likely to patronize your store. Finally, you also need to consider that getting into the laundry business requires a large initial investment.Three-quarters of laundry owners own only one store, and very few have more than two. While there are no national laundry chains, a few local chains are starting to grow in various parts of the country. These chains are still quite localized, though, and only a few consist of more than a few dozen. For a little more than half of laundry owners, operating the store(s) is their full-time job. Others take the moonlighting approach-they manage other businesses or work a day job. But more laundry owners are starting to own larger stores and more than one store. These people are able to survive on the income larger stores or multiple stores generate. The expenses incurred while running a store range between 65 and 115 percent of the gross income. Wallace says these profit margins have less to do with the size of the store than with its owner. An owner who runs his or her store well-who keeps it clean, repairs its equipment quickly, uses energy-efficient systems and offers good customer service-will see profit margins of about 35 percent. The steady income that a laundry generates is a plus for many people. If you're looking for a business that will keep the cash flowing no matter what the rest of the economy is doing, you've found it in laundries. Clean clothes are a necessity, not a luxury, so people are going to use laundromats no matter how the stock market is performing. The business is also fairly steady month in, month out. So unless you draw on vacationers' dollars in a place with seasonal tourism, you'll find that you can count on a fairly steady income throughout the year.

No Experience Necessary None of the entrepreneurs interviewed for the Coin-Operated Laundry start-up guide had experience in the laundry business when they first started out. One had a resume that included milking cows, another was a contractor, yet another ran a rental equipment business. Most just decided that starting a laundry was a good business opportunity. However, they all recommend that new entrepreneurs research the business by talking to laundry owners, joining associations and reading the trade literature. Collette Clarkson knew nothing about the business before she started a laundromat in Evans, Colorado, with Kim Clarkson, her business partner. They spoke to a number of laundry owners about the business and read as many issues of trade magazines as they could find. While no particular experience is necessary, a business background is always important. In addition, a background in machine repair or a knack for fixing machines helps. Owners who have experience with laundry equipment are able to cut down on the cost of repairs. But others have found that they can learn about the machines and make some repairs themselves, or hire a repairperson and avoid the headache altogether. The self-service laundry business is an open club. With enough enthusiasm, interest and business-savvy, you can join the club and succeed in the industry. The Laundromat Personality You may think that the laundry business is about clothes, but what it's really about is people. It's a service business, and like any service business, you need to treat your customers well if you want them to return to your store. If you're friendly, your customers will want to use your store. By taking the time to talk to them, you will also be able to learn about their laundry needs and their preferences for services. Ultimately, this kind of information will help you improve the quality of your business so that you can attract even more customers.

Even if you decide to hire employees and leave the customer relations to them, you still need good people skills to hire and supervise employees. The more closely you work with them and the better they know and like you, the better job they'll do. If you have an unattended laundry that you visit twice a day to clean and collect quarters, you still need to greet your customers with a smile on your face and an attitude that's ready to help. So if small talk with strangers leaves you cold, and you can't stand the thought of answering customers' questions (often the same ones over and over), the laundry business may not be the one for you.Whether you do all the work yourself or hire an attendant or a janitor, there are tasks you will need to take care of on a daily basis. You will need to open and close your store promptly each day, clean it, collect money, and fill vending and change machines. You will also need to keep track of which machines are being used and how often. Those laundry owners who have employees will have other duties, too. They'll be hiring and supervising those employees and overseeing additional services such as wash-and-fold. The Hours You Shall Keep Laundries are generally open between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. seven days per week. Because weekends are usually the busiest days for laundries, you should definitely keep your doors open on Saturdays and Sundays. In some instances, you may want to adopt alternate hours, especially if the market you serve or the location of your store lends itself to having open doors at other times of the day. Because his laundry is unattended, he doesn't have to pay employees to stay up all night with his store. You can avoid having to be at your store early in the morning and late at night by installing an automatic lock system on a timer. At night, of course, you must close down and lock up. If you want all the customers to be gone by 10 p.m., you should consider locking the door at 8:30 p.m.

, leaving enough time for the last loads of laundry to be finished. You can either let customers out yourself or install a lock system that allows them to leave but prevents others from coming inside. Scrub-a-Dub-Dub The first order of business for you or an employee you hire is to clean your store thoroughly, at least once a day. This will take about two to three hours. You or your employee will need to do the following: Mop the floors Wipe down the machines Clean the soap dispensers in your front-load washers Wash off the folding tables Clean the bathroom Empty the trash Wash the windows Clean the vending machines, change machines and video game screens The best time to clean is after customers have gone-that way you or your employees can clean more efficiently. You'll also avoid the risk of customers slipping on wet floors or tripping over cleaning equipment. If you have a large or busy store, however, you may find that it requires cleaning twice a day. You can wipe down the machines and folding tables easily while customers are in the store, but save the floor for after they've left or for a slow period of the day. Collecting Coins One chore you're not likely to delegate to an employee is collecting money from the machines. If you have a card system, your job is much easier. All you'll have to do is empty the card machine of the bills, count them and deposit them in the bank. But if you have a coin laundry, you'll need to empty each machine, preferably daily. You'll want to pull (take out the coins) from one type of machine at a time so you can determine how often your customers are using each type of machine. Put a bag in one of your laundry baskets and roll it from machine to machine, starting with the top-loaders. Count these coins and record how much money you made on this type of machine, then follow the same procedure with the front-loaders and the dryers.

Link Budget Calculation Calculate link budget for the planned installation site in order to verify effective coverage that the system will provide. Y o u may use link budget calculation chart, calculation reference table and the following formula. Y ou may also use the below formula to calculate ga in adjustment of the repeater in case you plan a specific signal stren gth on the service antenna. Gain (dB) (C) RF Cab le Loss (dB) (D) Repeater Gain (dB) (E) Indoor Ant.The d ata is just approximate value given that the acceptable signal level of coverage is -90dBm. 2. Above da ta sheet is JUST FOR REFERENCE. Please ad just UL and DL gain to the r equired values. Example: if you wish to attenuate 20dB on the do wnlink and 25dB on the uplink, set the DIP sw itch as show n on the below figure. 7. Mounting and Inst allation 1. Please install a donor antenna in the pr eviously selected location. Please choose a mount type for the don or antenna according to your p references and environmental conditions. Y ou may need to reposition or rotate the donor antenna to find the dire ction providing the strongest DOWN-LINK UP-LINK -16 -8 -4 -2 -1 OFF ON OFF ON DOWN-LINK UP-LIN K -16 -8 -4 -2 -1 OFF ON OFF ON Make sure that all the connect ions are tightly fastened. Ma ke sure that the cable is f astened on th e wall or a cab le tray and secure a conn ector to avoid water decaying performance. 4. Please install s ervice antenna in the previously selected location. Route the cable between the repeater unit and service antenn a. In case of multiple service antennas, use ap propriate power splitt ers to split the sign al. Route t he cable accord ingly. Connect the cabl e to the connector marked MS on the r epeater and the other end to the service antenna. 5. Connect the p ower cable of the ad aptor to the r epeater where ma rked POWER and pl ug the adaptor into the power plug. 6. Switch the power button. The power indicator LED should be green.

The donor antenna should be located in the strongest signal r eception area and away from any barriers, such as hills and mou ntains, high buildings or signboards. That may be on the rooftop or the side o f the building, or inside the buildin g close to the window. Y ou may use mobile phon e or spectrum analyzer to m easure rec eived streng th signal inte nsity (RS SI). A perfect location sh ould have outdoor signal strength gre ater than -80 dBm. Ideally the donor antenna should face the base station of the op erator that signal it is intended to amplify. Depending on the application a nd the environment, donor antenna used can be omnidirectional, panel yagi. (please co ntact Coile r for optional accessorie s) 2. Please determine the possib le number of the service ante nnas via calculation regarding the indoor area nee ds coverage, the building construction an d the signal path loss. Fo r the best performance, service antennas sh ould be installed on the c eiling or on the wall at least two meters from the floor. Installation on the wall may however obstruct the signal and shorten the signal range. The antennas should be ideally placed centra lly in the area requires coverage. Please mind the antenna isolation b etween the donor antenna and the service antennas. Coiler recommends that in order to avoid repeater ’s oscillation, the isolation should be at least 15dB greater than the gain of the re peater. For TG series, the isolation should be at least 65dB given that th e equipment is set to the m aximum gain value. (60d B) 3. The repeater shou ld be located inside th e building. It should be installed in a constant temperature, ventila ted room. Humidity a nd temperature change s may affect repeater ’s reliability. Make sure that AC power plug is available nearby the repeater unit. Coiler recomme nds the 0.75” cable for the outdoor installation and 0.5” cable for indoor installations. Please make sure that cable h as been equipped with appropr iate connectors. 5.
